Rubber is a long-term economic crops. This crop provides income to individuals, private companies and the government. Crops, create jobs in rural communities and encouraging farmers to move to town. Crops help protect the environment, protect the land from erosion and prevent damage to the soil nutrients. During 2010, the rubber products dropped significantly because most rubber has been in existence for more than 40 years. According to the favorable soil conditions in Kampong Cham, Kampong Thom, Kratie, Ratanakiri and Mondulkiri provinces, they can expand the cultivated area to nearly 30,000 hectares, and be able to provide a yield of about 500,000 tons of dry rubber per year.
